Supply Chain & Logistics
Planning, procurement and operations for businesses that move product at scale.
Our view of this market
Our supply chain desk covers demand and supply planning, procurement and category management, logistics and distribution operations, and the trade compliance work that has become considerably more complicated since 2021.
Clients here fall into two groups: manufacturers trying to build genuine planning capability rather than running on spreadsheets, and distribution businesses scaling operations faster than their processes allow. Both need people who can hold detail and drive change, and both routinely underestimate how few of those there are.
Customs and trade compliance is the acute shortage. The regulatory workload increased permanently and the pool of people who genuinely understand it did not grow to match, which keeps salaries in that niche moving well ahead of the wider function.
