Life Sciences

Manufacturing, quality and regulatory roles across pharma, biotech and medical devices.

Our view of this market

Life sciences is our fastest growing desk, driven largely by the density of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing across Ireland and the north west of England. We recruit for the regulated end of the industry: sterile and aseptic manufacturing, validation, quality assurance and control, regulatory affairs, and the process engineering that sits underneath all of it.

This is a sector where getting the detail wrong is expensive. A candidate who has worked to ISO 13485 is not automatically comfortable with EU MDR, and a QA specialist from a solid dose site will not necessarily transfer into sterile fill-finish. We hold those distinctions properly rather than pattern-matching on job titles, which is the single most common complaint we hear about generalist agencies working this market.

Demand is structural rather than cyclical. Qualified Person shortages, MDR transition workload and continued investment in biologics capacity mean the roles we handle have been consistently open regardless of the wider hiring climate.
