A developer with a substantial Scottish offshore wind portfolio is hiring a Package Manager to own the foundations scope on a project moving from consent into detailed design and fabrication.
You would carry technical and commercial ownership of the package: managing the design contractor, running the fabrication tender, holding the interfaces with the turbine supplier and the cables package, and reporting progress and risk into the project director.
This is a role for someone who has been through at least one offshore project before and knows where these packages go wrong. Hybrid, based in Glasgow, with regular travel to fabrication yards in Northern Europe.
What you will need
Experience managing a major package on an offshore wind or comparable offshore construction project
Strong contractual understanding, ideally FIDIC or a similar international form
Technical grounding in fixed-bottom foundations, monopile or jacket
Managed design contractors and fabrication yards through a full delivery cycle
Confident holding interfaces with other packages and escalating cleanly
Degree in civil, structural, mechanical or marine engineering
Willing to travel internationally, roughly one week a month
What is on offer
Salary of £75,000 to £90,000 plus car allowance
Annual bonus of up to 20%
