Marcus Brennan

Marcus started on an engineering desk in Manchester in 2004 and has recruited in the sector ever since. He founded Brennan Hale in 2016 with Ola Hale after a decade running technical divisions inside two larger consultancies, on the straightforward premise that a smaller firm with better consultants would place better people.

He now splits his time between running the business and handling retained engineering leadership searches, mostly at Operations Director and Engineering Director level for mid-sized manufacturers. He still takes briefs himself, which he considers non-negotiable for anyone running a recruitment business.

Outside work he is a reliably disappointed follower of lower-league football and a much better cyclist than he was five years ago.
